Ivan Kozachenko recommends Kovalyov Readings-2018.

Ivan Kozachenko, Honored Worker of the RF Science, Doctor of Law, Professor, Deputy Chairman of the Pardon Commission with the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Head of the Criminal Law Department of the Ural State Law University (Yekaterinburg) and a co-organizer of the Kovalyov Readings-2018 invites you to take part in the Kovalyov Readings-2018!

- It is the XV anniversary Conference that will take place in the Urals; it means that the format of the Kovalyov Readings-2018 has become popular among legal scholars, but also, what is more important, among legal practitioners. What to expect in 2018? We have decided to speak about crime on the whole and counter-crime models in the society and the state in particular. It is interesting to note that the very existence of our profession depends on crime. If there is no criminal, there is no expert in law, no advocate, no prosecutor, and no criminal judge. The paradox is that the bodies designed to respond or fight against crime are dependent on it. This paradox is reflected in economy, social order and even architecture. That’s what we will focus on in February 2018.

During the first day of the Conference, Professor Ivan Kozachenko will make a report entitled “Diversity of Counter-Crime Models in Criminal Law and Criminology” to offer his own view on the measures against such an inevitable phenomenon as crime.

We are looking forward to seeing you on 15-16 February 2018 in Yekaterinburg!
